Sofie (Defwita Zumara) is forced into marriage with Raden Sasmita (Erwin Bagindo) for the sake of her father’s business interests, a union that ends in her tragic death. Heartbroken, her lover Awang (Vicky Joe) attempts to summon Sofie’s spirit through the ritual of Jelangkung. The consequences are chilling, Sofie’s ghost begins to haunt and terrorize everyone connected to a mysterious locket, the key to her murder.
Set against the cultural backdrop of Majalengka with strong Sundanese nuances, the film aims to highlight local wisdom and promote the region’s tourist attractions, in hopes of fostering a more vibrant business climate in the area. The Film Censorship Institution of the Republic of Indonesia (LSF RI) has rated the film suitable for viewers aged 13 and plus.
