Danyang Wingit: Friday Kliwon
Citra (Celine Evangelista) is invited by her aunt, Mbak Ning (Nai Djenar Maisa Ayu), to become the sole sinden singer in a traditional ruwatan wayang performance. Prior to the show, Mbak Ning and the puppet master Ki Mangun Suroto (Whani Dharmawan) conduct a ritual offering accompanied by sacred chants that Citra is required to memorize. Unknown to her, the ritual carries a dark intention.
Bara (Fajar Nugroho) becomes a witness to the horrifying truth: Citra is destined to become a human sacrifice during the performance because she was born on Friday Kliwon, a day believed to hold powerful mystical significance. Danyang Wingit: Friday Kliwon explores the dangers of blind belief in dark rituals and the dehumanization that follows in the name of power and tradition.
