Danur: The Last Chapter
Risa (Prilly Latuconsina) decides to continue her life and close the gateway for communication with the spirit world. However, when her younger sister Riri (Zee Asadel) is proposed to by Dimas (Dito Darmawan) at an old theater and begins to behave unusually before the wedding, Risa realizes that a ghostly presence is taking control of Riri. To save her sister, Risa is forced to seek help once again from her ghost friends: Peter (Lewis Robert), William (Muhammad Fauzan), Hans (Ayden Jeffrey), Hendrik (Darian Rizki), and Janshen (Fillio Dheno). This leads to the revelation of a major secret behind the ghost figure known as Canting (Anya Zen). To reconnect with her ghost friends, Risa must repeatedly endure tragic deaths.
Directed by Awi Suryadi since its first installment, Danur: The Last Chapter marks the final film in the Danur universe, following Danur: I Can See Ghosts (2017), Danur 2: Maddah (2018), and Danur 3: Sunyaruri (2019). The film conveys messages about courage in facing the past and the sacrifices made to protect loved ones. The Indonesian Film Censorship Board (LSF) has classified the film for audiences aged 13 and above. (&i)
