Luki (Dennis Adhiswara) and Murni (Ayushita) have been married for five years without children. Their situation becomes the talk of the neighborhood, especially in the gossip circle led by Bu Pur (Asri Welas). The rumors begin to affect their livelihood Toko Djamu Djoyo, the herbal medicine shop Murni inherited from her mother, famous for its fertility tonics, starts losing customers. Just as they try to conceive, a shocking discovery changes everything, a baby of foreign descent is found abandoned in front of their home. Determined to raise the child as their own, Luki and Murni hatch a plan to pretend Murni is pregnant so they can pass the baby off as their biological child. But the deception sparks a chain of comedic and heartfelt conflicts.
Directed by Bayu Skak, a former YouTuber who has made a name for himself with successful Javanese-language films, Cocote Tonggo continues his streak after hits like Yowis Ben (2018), Yowis Ben 2 (2019), Yowis Ben 3 (2021), Yowis Ben Finale (2021), Lara Ati (2022), and Sekawan Limo (2024). Skak has also directed two series: Yowis Ben: The Series (2020) and Lara Ati Series (2022–2023). The Film Censorship Institution of the Republic of Indonesia has rated Cocote Tonggo suitable for viewers aged 13 plus.
