Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy
Bridget Jones (Renée Zellweger), now in her fifties, is raising two children as a single mother after the death of her husband, Mark Darcy (Colin Firth). She tries to move forward and begin a new chapter in her life as a widow and single mom while navigating the challenges of modern dating through dating apps. Two new men enter her life: Roxster (Leo Woodall), a sarcastic and unpredictable younger man, and Wallaker (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a strict teacher at her children’s school.
Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy is adapted from Helen Fielding’s novel of the same title. Following Bridget Jones’s Diary (Sharon Maguire, 2001), Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (Beeban Kidron, 2004), and Bridget Jones’s Baby (Sharon Maguire, 2016), the film is the fourth and final installment in the series.
