Boss
The leader of a major criminal organization in South Korea dies, leaving a power vacuum that sparks an unusual rivalry among three unlikely successors. Na Soon-tae (Jo Woo-jin) dreams of focusing on his Chinese restaurant, Gang-pyo (Jung Kyung-ho) longs to become a tango dancer, and Pan-ho (Park Ji-hwan) wants to be the boss despite clearly lacking the qualities for the role. Their clashing ambitions set the stage for a chaotic struggle between personal dreams and organizational responsibility. Things grow even more complicated when undercover police officer Tae-gyu (Lee Kyu-hyung) disguises himself as a delivery worker at the Mimiru restaurant. From his vantage point, he witnesses the rivalry spiral into absurd, humorous chaos fueled by ambition and conflicting desires.
Directed by Ra Hee-chan, known for Going by the Book (2007) and Mr. Idol (2011), Boss offers a satirical take on the Korean crime world, blending action, drama, and dark comedy by following criminals who would rather escape leadership than seize power. The Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) has rated Boss for audiences aged 17 and above. Be discerning in selecting content suitable for your age. (aza)
