The Bell: Panggilan untuk Mati
The cursed spirit Panebok (Syalom Razade), once sealed inside a sacred bell by Baharun (Mathias Muchus), escapes and begins terrorizing villagers with brutal killings, leaving many decapitated. Determined to stop the terror, Baharun’s grandson Danto (Bhisma Wijaya Mulia) and his ex-girlfriend Airin (Ratu Sofia) follow cryptic instructions from Baharun’s old book. But every attempt to contain the evil spirit only leads to more bloodshed.
Before becoming a vengeful ghost, Panebok was a Dutch woman who met a tragic death. The legend of Panebok has long existed in Belitung folklore but remained little known outside the region. Entirely filmed in East Belitung, the movie draws heavily on local myths, adding a chilling cultural layer to its horror narrative.
