Niken (Raihaanun), a single mother going through a divorce from Dirga (Baim Wong), must find a job so she can secure custody of her child and live independently. Niken is then given an opportunity to act in a film and rises to fame. However, at the same time, she faces problems with the film crew and with her ex-husband, who attempts to take custody of their child.
Beautiful Pain is a collaboration between Baim Wong and Nikita Mirzani that addresses sexual violence in the lives of public figures. The Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) has classified the film for audiences aged 17 and above due to its themes of sexual violence and domestic conflict. Be discerning in selecting content suitable for your age. (cha)
