Ballerina
Rooney (Ana de Armas), a young female assassin raised by the Ruska Roma organization, emerges from hiding to avenge the death of her family. As she navigates a world of conspiracy, betrayal, and brutal combat, she must confront her dark past. She must also decide whether to remain a killing instrument or rediscover her true identity. Driven by grief and a burning desire for revenge, she eventually realizes that she must confront the world that shaped her into who she is.
Featuring stylish action, the signature fight choreography of the John Wick universe, and a strong emotional dimension, Ballerina introduces a new character who is both deadly and complex within the franchise’s world of assassins. Rooney was previously portrayed by Unity Phelan in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (Chad Stahelski, 2019). However, in this fifth film in the John Wick franchise, Ana de Armas replaces Unity Phelan as Rooney, also known as Eve Macarro. Containing violence and entertainment elements, the film has been classified by the Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) for audiences aged 17 and above. Be discerning in selecting content suitable for your age. (ind)
