BACKROOMS
Clark (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a furniture store owner who never fulfilled his dream of becoming an architect, leads an ordinary life while regularly attending therapy sessions with Mary (Renate Reinsve). His life takes a disturbing turn when he spends a night at his store and investigates a sudden power outage in the basement. There, he discovers a strange wall that should not exist. Passing through it, Clark finds himself trapped in a horrifying alternate dimension—a seemingly endless maze of yellow rooms known as the Backrooms. As he wanders through the labyrinth, he begins to lose his sense of direction, time, and even his sanity. Unable to convince anyone that the mysterious place is real, including Mary, Clark attempts to prove his story by bringing two of his employees, Kat (Lukita Maxwell) and Bobby (Finn Bennett), into the strange dimension. When Clark suddenly disappears without a trace, Mary is forced to enter the surreal and terrifying world herself in a desperate effort to find and rescue him.
