Angkara Murka
Ambar (Raihaanun) and her son, Bondan (Nabil Althaf), search for Jarot (Aksara Dena), Ambar’s husband, who has not returned home. Struggling financially and with her husband missing, Ambar is forced to take his place as a laborer at a stone mine. Bondan accompanies his mother to work because he does not attend school and they have no close relatives who can help them. While working at the mine and continuing to search for her husband, Ambar begins to notice a number of disturbing irregularities, including conflicts with other workers and the strange behavior of Raden Broto (Whani Darmawan), the owner of the stone mine, which occasionally yields diamonds.
The mystery thriller Angkara Murka, also known as Mad of Madness, was written and directed by Eden Junjung and represented Indonesia at the 2025 Far East Film Festival in Udine, Italy. The film was also nominated for the White Mulberry Award for Best Debut Feature, an award recognizing the first feature-length works of Asian directors.
