Air Mata Mualaf
Living alone in Australia and enduring abuse from her boyfriend Ethan (Matthew Williams), Angie (Acha Septriasa) feels her life spiraling into despair. One early morning, the sound of the adhan touches her heart with peace, inspiring her to study Islam and embrace life as a convert. Returning to Jakarta to share her decision with her family, Angie instead faces harsh rejection and is cast out by her mother (Dewi Irawan).
Air Mata Mualaf, set against the backdrops of Sydney and Jakarta, will also be released in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, the United States, the Philippines, and Pakistan. Exploring themes of violence and deep familial conflict tied to faith, the film portrays the emotional struggles of conversion.
