Wishnu (Pangeran Lantang) has long tried to persuade his mother, Sutji (Sutjiati Narendra), to accept his decision to pursue a career as a professional fighter. Sutji remains deeply traumatized by the loss of her husband and eldest son during the tsunami disaster on the coast of Phuket, Thailand. Wishnu’s fighting career eventually intersects with that of Somchit (Achilleur Ralli), a Thai fighter determined to become a world champion in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) as a way of repaying the kindness of his adoptive father.
Unexpectedly, Somchit’s traumatic childhood memories resurface in the middle of the fighting arena. This Indonesia–Thailand collaborative film won Best Action Film at the Star City Film Festival Iowa (2025) and Best Martial Arts Film at the Urban Action Showcase in New York. Directed, produced, and written by Peter Taslim a former national judo athlete who represented Indonesia at Asian and international competitions the film blends cultural elements with action-packed entertainment. The Indonesian Film Censorship Institution (LSF) has classified this film for audiences aged 13 and above. (nkn)
