120 Bahadur
The film portrays the extraordinary heroism of the Rezang La battle, where soldiers of India’s 13th Battalion of the Kumaon Regiment confronted nearly 5,000 Chinese troops during the 1962 Sino-Indian War. Despite being massively outnumbered, roughly 120 Indian soldiers held their ground to the last breath while defending the strategic valley. Their resistance resulted in the deaths of more than 1,000 Chinese soldiers, thwarting China’s plan to fully occupy the Ladakh region and leaving behind a legacy of courage that is still honored today.
Director Razneesh “Razy” Ghai previously helmed the espionage action film Dhaakad (2022). 120 Bahadur, a war drama that revisits a battle once nearly forgotten from history, highlights sacrifice, patriotism, and unyielding resolve. The Film Censorship Institution of the Republic of Indonesia (LSF) has rated this film suitable for audiences aged 13 and above. (aza)
