Kartika (Leony) lives under the shadow of her mother Ratna’s (Paramitha Rusady) hidden past, including the mystery surrounding Kartika’s father. In the midst of a happy period in her life, Kartika is forced to face a painful truth when the secret about her father is revealed, causing tension in her relationship with her partner. Overwhelmed by confusion and emotional wounds, Kartika decides to travel to Machida, Japan, in search of her father. During her ten-day journey, she meets various people who offer her new perspectives on family, loss, and acceptance. The journey becomes not only an effort to find her father, but also a process of understanding herself and reconciling with the past.

His directing style is simple yet emotional, emphasizing natural dialogue and a calm storytelling rhythm. Focusing on the emotional journey of its main character over ten days, 10 Days in Machida: Ayah, Kamu di Mana? has been classified by the Indonesian Film Censorship Board (LSF) for audiences of all ages (SU).
